Care Instructions:

• Guide boots are made from water-repellent full grain Nubuck leather and require minimal maintenance.
• Clean and dry after use, especially if exposed to saltwater to prevent corrosion.
• Use a brush (like an old vegetable brush or toothbrush) to remove dust and dirt. For thorough cleaning, remove laces before cleaning.
• Use specialized boot cleaner, saddle soap, or mild dishwashing soap with lukewarm water. Do not use bar soap or detergents.
• Important: Do not place wet boots near heat sources (fireplaces, campfires, wood stoves, radiators, heaters, or sunny windowsills) to avoid weakening adhesives and causing materials to become brittle or shrink.
• Air dry naturally and keep out of direct sunlight. Position boots upside-down for faster drying; stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture. Change the paper every hour.
• If mold appears, brush with a mixture of 80% water and 20% vinegar.
• Over time, leather conditioners can enhance water repellency and prevent cracking and drying of the leather.
• Store boots in a stable temperature environment; avoid attics, garages, car trunks, or unventilated spaces.
• Never put boots in a washing machine.
