Responsible for nearly all of his weighed-in fish, including his 10-lb bruiser on Day 1, Velvick used the BV 3D to maintain a substantial lead over the rest of the field. Jerry Rago designed this bait especially for Velvick and Skeet Reese for Clear Lake, and Velvick provided key input, as well as, his name to the bait (BV-Byron Velvick).
