Description
A powerhouse of a rod with a super slim, lightweight blank and a 24mm butt section. Designed to handle big fish, rough terrain but remain lightweight and nimble so it’s easier to use than other more cumbersome rods in the heavyweight rod category.
This rod is packed with power in the mid-section, providing a fast, crisp recovery for long-distance casting with bigger weights and baits. Although this is a stiff rod, it has a very smooth casting action.
Ideally suited to fishing in mixed to rough ground, the stiff tip section allows you to pile on the pressure when targeting bigger fish. It sits well in the tide and wind, standing up to challenging conditions with ease. Despite this, the tip has some give to eliminate any issues with your lead springing out on a big tide.
It’s the perfect rod for anglers fishing cliffs, rock marks and rough ground, targeting various species such as cod, tope, conger, smoothhound and large rays. Field tested in the Bristol Channel and the Northeast of England, Tronixpro have built this rod to excel at handling large fish over tough terrain.
The Rock 247 is built from a unique mix of 40T and 30T carbon, with an inner 3k carbon cloth weave for extra strength. Japanese shrink tube on the butt section and either side of the spigot to make it easy to take apart. It comes fitted with Fuji Anti-Tangle Alconite K guides and an adjustable Fuji Reel Seat. A reducer is available separately.
